Boneyards was born from my second worldbuilding project "Pagsira". Its focus was to create a first go at the visual development of one of the main tribes in the story that features a mix of high and low tech devices that they wanted to use to prolong the life of their leader.
As a personal challenge I tried to expand my knowledge of 3D tools like blender and figure out a workflow that merges 3D still renders with vfx in After Effects to create a sense of movement. This was partially born from the limitation of working with not powerful enough hardware to fully render these scenes in 3D.
