For the collaborative art project "Alphadoggg", which releases monthly artworks from various renowned artists, I had the honor of contributing an animation for their September 2023 release.
The Alphadoggg team provides substantial creative freedom for the content of the artwork. Through discussions and meetings, we endeavored to identify common interests shared between the project's community and myself. It became evident that there was a shared love for absurd stories and an appreciation for coffee.
By incorporating elements from my personal art project, "Magidelik," the artwork with the title "Rasthof Talfahrt" took shape over the course of several days.
To enhance my animations, especially those that don't seamlessly loop within the context of the imagery, I often employ hand-painted glitch effects. Drawing inspiration from the intricately detailed work seen in the Spiderverse movies, I meticulously integrate layers of comic-esque words, flashy shapes, and vibrant color changes to interrupt the flow of the main animation.
This deliberate disruption allows for a reset of the animation without the viewer immediately noticing.
